Marieme Ndiaye

Marieme is a host, actress, and singer-songwriter who is never short on ideas. She first made an impression as a VJ on Musique Plus and as the host of 3 filles célibataires on VRAK. Since then, her energy and boundless creativity have propelled her into numerous hosting roles, including Tout inclus (ICI Télé), Le cœur sur le flow (La Fabrique Culturelle), De par chez nous (Unis TV), and Ma première place des arts (MATV). Cameron Bailey

Few people understand the importance of the arts and culture sector as well as Cameron Bailey. He is CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) - the world's largest public film festival and one of Canada's premier cultural brands. Under his strategic direction, the festival continues to grow in size and significance each year.

Bailey began his career as a film critic. He also curated films for Cinematheque Ontario, The National Gallery of Canada, The National Film Board of Canada, and Australia’s Sydney International Film Festival before joining TIFF in 1990. He began as a programmer selecting Canadian films before moving on to African and South Asian cinema. He’s responsible for TIFF’s highly successful subscription series, Reel Talk, and also headed TIFF’s Perspective Canada series and founded its Planet Africa section.

Bailey has taught film curation at the University of Toronto and holds an honorary doctorate from Western University. He is a Chevalier in France’s Order of Arts and Letters, member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, and for 12 consecutive years been named one of “Toronto’s 50 Most Influential People” by Toronto Life.

Dejha Carrington

Dejha Carrington is a practitioner and leader in the arts.

In 2017, Dejha co-founded Commissioner, an art membership that helps peoplecollect the work of contemporary artists in their cities. She serves as ExecutiveDirector and has thus far introduced the program in Miami, Detroit, New York,Montreal, Mexico City, and New Orleans.

From 2015 to 2022, Dejha served as Vice President of Strategic Communications for YoungArts, the national foundation forthe advancement of artists. Previously, she led public relations initiatives with Kimball Art Museum, the Medellin Biennial inColombia, and the National Film Board of Canada.

Dejha is a board member of the national performance arts funder MAP Fund in New York, and The Black School, an experimental schoolhouse in New Orleans. She is also a professional advisory member of Miami-Dade Art In Public Places, New York University’s Center for Black Visual Culture, and University of Miami’s Center for Global Black Studies. 

Dejha teaches the Business of Art at New World School of the Arts at Miami-Dade College.

Keithy Antoine

Keithy Antoine is a host, visual artist, and social entrepreneur. She creates and hosts content for radio, television, and events. She first gained recognition as the co-host of the pioneering hip-hop radio show Nuit Blanche (1991–2001) before joining XM Satellite Radio and MAtv. She co-produced and hosted Les Entrevues Lounge Urbain on FibeTv1 and later hosted Le Spot on Natyf-TV. Since 2022, she has been part of the Radio-Canada series Pa t’mentir (Gémeaux and Numix awards) and contributes as a cultural reporter for PAN M 360.

She produces and hosts Nouveaux Départs, a podcast on immigration launching in March 2025 on Canal M, and is the artistic director of an NFB documentary on Afro-ecology set for release in 2026.

As a visual artist, she has exhibited internationally (Louisiana, Guadeloupe, Cameroon) and created permanent artworks for Howard Park in 2023. She is also a member of the Afro-descendant artists’ collective WECANERS. In 2019, driven by her social commitment, she founded Union Urbaine, a cultural and social inclusion organization based in Saint-Michel and now located at 6649 Plaza St-Hubert. It operates STYL'AFRIQUE, a workshop-boutique offering tailoring services, creative workshops, and Afro-urban fashion.

Martine St-Victor is a communications strategist and the General Manager of Edelman in Montréal, one of its 60 offices worldwide, making it the world's most important communication firm.

Martine is a monthly columnist at the Montreal Gazette and La Presse and can be seen and heard regularly on Radio-Canada television and radio. During federal and provincial elections, Martine analyzes political communication on CTV News.

Wizzy MoonChaser

Ian "Wizzy MoonChaser" Thomas, born and raised in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, is a dynamic radio host, entrepreneur and community advocate. Aïcha Bastien-N'Diaye

Aïcha Bastien-N’Diaye, from the Huron-Wendat Nation, was introduced to movement through Guinean traditional dance while growing up in Wendake. Naturally blending her strong cultural influences, her passion for the physicality and expressiveness of dance quickly led her to pursue professional training at L’École de danse de Québec.

Using her voice to inspire her communities, both on social media and on stage, Aïcha sees movement as a powerful tool for change and innovation.

A multidisciplinary artist, she showcased her work "Dance Your Anxiety Away" in an installation by Slow Factory at MoMA PS1 in New York. She has also performed in Émilie Monnet’s play Marguerite, Le Feu. Kevin Jr Maddripp

Kevin Gohou, aka Jr Maddripp is considered one of the mentors and innovators of the Krump movement in Europe.

Now living in Montreal, he teaches, competes in battles and has been a judge at some of the most prestigious events in France and around the world.

In 2014, he was named “Junior Maddripp” in the Tight Eyez Family, alongside the pioneer and creator of Krump dance.

Diane Gistal

Diane Gistal is a cultural producer and independent curator of Haitian-French descent, recognized for her dedication to promoting Afro-descendant and African artistic creation. As the founder and director of Nigra Iuventa, she works to amplify the practices of visual artists from these communities. With expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as extensive experience in cultural project management, Diane is a committed leader in Quebec’s cultural sector.Her career has led her to collaborate with prestigious institutions such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Phi Foundation, the Goethe-Institut, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Le Livart, and the UNESCO Chair DCMET. James Oscar

James Oscar is a writer, art critic, and exhibition curator whose work lies at the intersection of experimental critique and anthropological inquiry. As a researcher at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, his work has focused on cultural policy. His academic journey has been deeply influenced by his mentorship under Martinican philosopher Édouard Glissant and his collaboration with Ato Sekyi-Otu on the works of Frantz Fanon. <span>With 25 years of experience in contemporary art, Oscar has worked at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and served as Curator-in-Residence at Fonderie Darling (2022-2023). He currently leads the Musée des Arts Libres des Amériques et du Monde (MALAM), home to a significant collection of Caribbean art. His recent exhibitions include "Illuminations" (2024), "Le Langage Secret de l'Univers" (2023), and "Music for the World of Tomorrow".<br></span>

As a civic researcher, he has engaged in dialogues with figures such as Cornel West and has contributed to major institutions, including Radio-Canada, the Canadian Museums Association, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. As the founder of Montréal en Action, he spearheaded North America's first public consultation on systemic racism.

His research explores artistic practices through the lens of critical anthropology across the Americas. His publication, "Imperial Amphitheatres", was launched at the Venice Biennale.

Moridja Kitenge-Banza

Moridja Kitenge Banza, Chairman of the Board of Culture Montréal and a Canadian artist of Congolese origin born in Kinshasa in 1980, is a graduate of the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Kinshasa, the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes Métropole and the Université de La Rochelle. Winner of the grand prize at the DAK'ART Biennial in 2010, he was awarded the Prix Sobey in 2020. His work has been presented at the AGO, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, the National Gallery of Canada, the Phi Foundation and internationally. His work can be found in many public and corporate collections, including BMO, RBC and TD Bank.

Sylvine Maliko

Sylvine, better known as The Artiiist, of Central African origin, was born in France and has now been living in Canada for 12 years. From an early age, art has always played a central role in her life: singing, dancing and then painting. This passion has gradually turned into a real career: she is the founder of Smard Art.

It was during the COVID-19 pandemic that Sylvine launched her artistic enterprise: Smard Art. Her talent and vision quickly attracted attention, propelling her work onto the international scene. Boubacar Djiba

Boubacar Djiba, is among Africa’s music industry’s prolific change agents with over 15 years’ of experience in the music industry in Senegal. He is an entrepreneur who evolves in the creative industry, technology, and communication sector. In Jan 2024, Boubacar launched the first instant AI mastering platform in Africa, Senmixmaster after years of research. Passionate about music and technology, Youri Dominique has been evolving at the intersection of these two worlds for over two decades. First recognized as a member of the Rainmen duo, who left their mark on the Quebec hip-hop scene with the 1998 album Armageddon, he then turned his career towards change management and artificial intelligence.

Djamilla Toure

Born in Côte d'Ivoire, raised in Morocco and now living in Montreal, Djamilla Toure defines herself as a product of the diaspora. Passionate about women's empowerment and the media, she is a media founder, content creator and social entrepreneur.

She holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and international law, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sustainable development, where she is exploring solutions to the structural barriers faced by women around the world.

In 2015, convinced that change begins at her own scale, Djamilla set herself the mission of rethinking the world through concrete action. Cameron Bailey

Few people understand the importance of the arts and culture sector as well as Cameron Bailey. He is CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) - the world's largest public film festival and one of Canada's premier cultural brands. Under his strategic direction, the festival continues to grow in size and significance each year.

Bailey began his career as a film critic. He also curated films for Cinematheque Ontario, The National Gallery of Canada, The National Film Board of Canada, and Australia’s Sydney International Film Festival before joining TIFF in 1990. Ian "Wizzy MoonChaser" Thomas, born and raised in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, is a dynamic radio host, entrepreneur and community advocate. Keithy Antoine

Keithy Antoine is a host, visual artist, and social entrepreneur. She creates and hosts content for radio, television, and events. She first gained recognition as the co-host of the pioneering hip-hop radio show Nuit Blanche (1991–2001) before joining XM Satellite Radio and MAtv. Aïcha Bastien-N’Diaye, from the Huron-Wendat Nation, was introduced to movement through Guinean traditional dance while growing up in Wendake. Kevin Gohou, aka Jr Maddripp is considered one of the mentors and innovators of the Krump movement in Europe.

James Oscar

James Oscar is a writer, art critic, and exhibition curator whose work lies at the intersection of experimental critique and anthropological inquiry. Moridja Kitenge-Banza

Moridja Kitenge Banza, Chairman of the Board of Culture Montréal and a Canadian artist of Congolese origin born in Kinshasa in 1980, is a graduate of the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Kinshasa, the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes Métropole and the Université de La Rochelle. Winner of the grand prize at the DAK'ART Biennial in 2010, he was awarded the Prix Sobey in 2020. Sylvine Maliko

Sylvine, better known as The Artiiist, of Central African origin, was born in France and has now been living in Canada for 12 years. From an early age, art has always played a central role in her life: singing, dancing and then painting. This passion has gradually turned into a real career: she is the founder of Smard Art.

It was during the COVID-19 pandemic that Sylvine launched her artistic enterprise: Smard Art. Her talent and vision quickly attracted attention, propelling her work onto the international scene. Passionate about music and technology, Youri Dominique has been evolving at the intersection of these two worlds for over two decades. First recognized as a member of the Rainmen duo, who left their mark on the Quebec hip-hop scene with the 1998 album Armageddon, he then turned his career towards change management and artificial intelligence.

Djamilla Toure

Born in Côte d'Ivoire, raised in Morocco and now living in Montreal, Djamilla Toure defines herself as a product of the diaspora. Passionate about women's empowerment and the media, she is a media founder, content creator and social entrepreneur.

She holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and international law, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sustainable development, where she is exploring solutions to the structural barriers faced by women around the world.

In 2015, convinced that change begins at her own scale, Djamilla set herself the mission of rethinking the world through concrete action. And so, with four other women, she founded Sayaspora, a media outlet dedicated to young women from the African diaspora. Through this platform, she aims to amplify the voices of these women, highlight their ideas and offer them a space where they can not only express themselves and build their capacities, but also find a community that understands and values them.
